My friend Marilyn has a Florida condo to which she escapes with her dogs each winter and, this year, she invited me to drive down with them in November and be their guest for a couple of weeks. I'd been their guest there before, so needed little encouragement. Marilyn's condo overlooks the Indian River Lagoon in Melbourne, Florida, which is south along the coast from Cape Canaveral. If I'd had my camera with me at all times, this album would include some bluesy-looking shots from an evening at the Dijon piano bar and some action shots from a lively dinner party and from an evening of outdoor jazz on a crowded deck by the ocean. There'd also be some spectacular shots of a shuttle launch as seen from the 7th fairway at Baytree. And other shots, too. You'd have loved them.
